Predicting whats in the bag
For school we played what's in the bag. It's a fun prediction game where you guess which object has the most in its colour.
You start by getting a friend or family member to put 2 different coloured objects (e.g: I used buttons ) in different number sums. All together adding up to 6 in total. Then draw out of the bag as many times as you want, writing down how many of each you have pulled out. When you are ready to guess which colour has the most objects. If you ask your friend or family member which colour you think has the most, and you are correct, good job, you have just predicted correctly without knowing what was inside.
The first time I tried it I drew from the bag 8 times. I pulled out 5 blue buttons and 3 black.
So I decided to make a prediction. I guessed that there were more blue than black and was wrong.
The next time I played I drew 20 times and pulled out 6 black and 14 blue. I guessed blue and was right.
I learned that to properly predict you have got to try a decent amount of times.

Jolly Jars
This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. In these groups we had to work collaboratively to create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.
I learnt that instructions need to make sense for the person to be able to read and understand it.
Reflection on PBL:
For our Jolly Jar my group Created night lights.
I contributed to my group by making examples and packing the jars.
Our Jolly Jar was creative because we created our own original logo and we were the only group that did night lights.
What I learned about working with others was sometimes it can be easier with more hands to help.
How did we build community through our actions? We contributed to the fair by selling our product to raise money for the bike track.

Korfball
on Friday we learnt how to play korfball.
It is very similar to basketball and netball except there are some different rules.
like in netball you can't run with the ball.
unlike basketball you have a 360 degree radius around the hoop
It was very fun and i enjoyed it a lot.
